Help a child play football

Every child deserves the chance to play football — but for many families in Merton, the £185 registration fee is a barrier they simply can’t overcome. That’s why Mitcham Park FC launched the Kickstart Fund — to break down financial barriers and give every child the opportunity to join the team.

The Local Challenge:

An estimated 25–29% of children in Merton live in poverty — that’s nearly 1 in 4 kids who may miss out just because of cost.

Why Sport Makes a Difference:

Youth who participate in team sports are 44% less likely to engage in antisocial behavior, and 14% less likely to reoffend when given ongoing support. Community sport programs have a proven impact on reducing crime and enhancing wellbeing.

Our Ground

Mitcham Park Football Club is a well-organised youth and senior football club based in the heart of Mitcham, Surrey. All our managers are certified in child protection and emergency first aid - and every club volunteer has an enhanced CRB. We have Level 1, Level 2 and UEFA B and C coaches to cater for all ages, 6 yrs upwards, and abilities. We are considered a well operated, respected family friendly club by the local community and by the Surrey Football Association.

Our home ground is at Three Kings Piece in Mitcham. Thanks to Merton Council for providing six superb pitches on this site. Changing rooms with full facilities are available.

With regard to winter training facilities, most of our managers will train at Canon's grounds Wednesday - Friday; remaining managers will train at Cricket Green School, Canon's 3G and Goals.

FA Charter Status

We are a FA Chartered Standard Community Club promoting football in the community by providing boys and girls of all ages and abilities with a safe and secure environment in which to enjoy the sport.

Our achievement of this status was recognised with a presentation at Craven Cottage, Fulham's ground on Saturday 11 February 2017.
